Prior to joining Armando Codina Partners, Gragg was partner at White & Case, LLP in Miami where he advised the Codina Group in its merger transaction with Florida East Coast Industries. A board-certified tax lawyer prior to joining Codina Partners, Gragg had a transactional domestic and international practice. Over the course of his career, Gragg has represented many prominent Florida real estate developers and also has been active in the real estate investment trust area, having represented several REITS and structured hundreds of real estate ventures. Additionally, he served as a member of the Tax Advisory Committee to the Finance and Taxation Committee of the Florida House of Representatives and the Taxpayersâ Bill of Rights Advisory Committee to the Florida Legislature. Gragg has consistently been recognized by his peers as a preeminent tax attorney in âThe Best Lawyers in Americaâ directory and as one of nine Florida tax lawyers to receive the highest Chambers USA rating in 2006 â a distinction he has received since the inception of the Chambers USA ratings in the United States. A former professor at the University of Floridaâs College of Law and the University of Miamiâs Law School Graduate Tax Program, he is a frequent lecturer for various organizations including the Florida Bar and New York University. Gragg holds a bachelorâs degree from Florida State University and graduated cum laude from the University of Floridaâs College of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association; past chairman of the Florida Bar Tax Section, National Association of State Bar Tax Sections and Council of Sections of the Florida Bar; fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and American Bar Association Foundation; and former board of directors member of the Japan Society of South Florida, National Association of Industrial and Office Parksâ South Florida chapter, New World School of the Arts Foundation and the Beacon Council.
